Banksia Lake Cottages

  • Pet friendly accommodation that is second to none, these self-contained two bedroom cottages were built in the style of 19th century timber cutter houses – yet have 21st century comforts to suit most visitors.

    Owners Doug and Nikky Williams have lived in the area for most of their lives. Nikky was born in Birregurra, only 15 minutes up the road. An interest in sharing the unique environment with local and overseas visitors has been the basis for establishing their business. Supplying local knowledge to visitors has enriched the Williams’ lives and enhanced the stay of thousands. A background with animals has meant a natural support for pet friendly accommodation – dogs and cats are welcome!

    Banksia Cottages are suitable for small wedding parties, families or friends. Fitted with Laura Ashley and Stitches towels, incorporating Fisher & Paykel appliances, modern fittings and Sealy mattresses, the cottages also feature locally manufactured leather lounges, original artworks beside Celia Rosser Banksia prints and cosy wood heaters. There are, of course today’s essentials including DVD players, sound systems and an extensive library.

    We love Lorne, where nature provides a special melange of coast with hinterland, yet we also have a cosmopolitan range of experiences available.
