As part of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival (MFWF), The Mantra are hosting a delicious three-course menu in their beautiful Lorne gardens; just one of 24 Regional Worlds Longest Lunches.
Lorne’s chefs will put their skills on show with three distinctive dishes, beginning with a glass of 6Ft6 Prosecco from local Moorabool Valley winery Austins & Co.
Guests will enjoy an entrée focussing on locally sourced seafood by Mantra Lorne head chef Jacob Alexander, served with local wines from Mount Dundeed Estate.
Main course will be prepared by Maple Tree head chef Mitch Knight – Point Henry salt bush followed by a simple dish highlighting the flavours of Barwon lamb with Torquay grown tomatoes and Drysdale chèvre alongside Provenance wines.
Rory Graham and John Boreham (Swing Bridge Café and Lorne Bowls Club) will join forces to prepare a simple and elegant dessert using locally sourced produce served with Botrytis Semillon from Paraparap based winery, Wolseley Wines.
Producers and winemakers will be present to talk about their products in more detail.
